Through this kind of gambling, you specifically get what item slot you want, just rarely ever the actual item you want, as again she will mostly give you yellow chest armors when you're picking chest armors. There's also the Kadala NPC with whom you can gamble your blood shards to try to get legendaries (set items are a kind of legendary) but mostly get yellows and some blues. That should also mean more complex and tailored reward-structures.Īdding to what moor7 already explained, S24 will likely end sometime in November, as the season length does tend to be pretty consistent.Īlso the set piece conversion is more for if you already have six pieces of the same necromancer set, but don't actually have a "complete" set because maybe 3 of your 6 are all helmets. So, many of D3's endgame systems are somewhat lacking in design elegance.Įven though this game gets a lot of shit from the wider gaming community (much of the negativity is based on how the game was early on, which is understanable and deserved) I really love D3 gameplay, but I am very excited for D4 since Blizzard now knows to focus more on adventure mode and have it in from launch. Adventure mode ended up, however, becoming the bread and butter of the game (beofre the expansion you had to just redo campaign acts). You need to realize that Adventure mode and many of its reward-structures were added to the game pretty late, and that dev resources spent on them were quite limited. It's not a perfect system for sure, but it's decent. So if you only need, say, a head piece for your set, then just buy a bunch of head pieces and the one you are looking for will eventually appear.
